Departments and branches

As mentioned before companies can be divided into departments in Regla. The main benefit of doing this is the traceability (e.g. it can clearly show which department is linked with which invoices).
As default, only one department is assigned to a company and it is called New department.

It is convenient for the company to assign employees into different departments in the system. A new department needs to be created first. Each employee can be assigned to one or more departments and he/she can then decide which department to login. There is no difference for login into different departments except the name of the department displayed in the top right corner will be changed.

When the Departments menu is clicked a table of all available departments is displayed.  The table has three columns, the first one is for employees’ department management, and the second one for the name of the department and the last one offers operations that can be performed on the department.

In the first column of the table employees can be assigned or removed for departments. You could hover the mouse pointer over the employee icon and then in the small window displayed you can select to add or remove employees from department.  
A list of all employees who has already been assigned to the department is displayed. There is a button to remove employees from the department and a button to assign employees to the department are available (see picture below).

An employee is removed from a department by selecting his name from the list and then clicking the Remove button.

To assign an employee to a department, please click the Add button. Then a small window will pop up.  You can then select the employee’s name and click the Add button to assign.

In the second last column of the table there is a button to edit departments.  When the EditRowLogo button is clicked, three new buttons appear and the department name become editable.  The button on the left will cancel the change, the middle button will confirm the change and finally the button on the right will delete the department.

To change the name of the department, you can click the edit button for a specific department. After enter a new name you need to click on the middle button to confirm the change. In the last column of the table is a button checkmarkIcon, if clicked then the department will become inactive and a new button will appear stopIcon, this button is clicked to me the department active again. To link the department to a stockroom, click the edit button described above and choose a stockroom from the drop-down list.

A new department can be created by clicking the button addIcon at the bottom of the table.  

To create a new department, the name of the department should be entered and then users should click the green button addIcon to confirm the creation.
